Priestley first lived, for about a year, at a house near the Old Brewery on Meadow Lane, which was on the south side of the River Aire, away from the main city. Then he moved back across the river to a minister's house on a road north of Old Mill Chapel. On this map the road extends north from the chapel and is obviously not a major thoroughfare. See next two photos for expansions. By kind permission of Leeds Library and Information Services, www.leodis.net.
